17A - Elevator Pitch No. 2

All the feedback I received from my first elevator pitch was very positive which I was surprised about. I don't really like public speaking even if its just me in front of a video camera. I was glad to hear that my speech was articulate and that my message was very clear. Since the comments said that my message was well communicated and I liked the way I wrote my speech, I decided not to make any changes to the script for now. I did not receive any constructive comments so I decided to go back and re-watch it again myself. As usual in my case, when I get nervous I tend to talk faster. So I made sure this time to try and talk a bit slower at a more conversational speed. Hopefully I was able to do that and if not I will make sure to improve again next time!

    Hey Isabella,
    Your second elevator pitch was so much better than your first. You seemed much more confident and it was much better when you talked a little slower. The thing I enjoyed most about your pitch was your ability to use your hands to go along with yours words. I hope you do that even more in your final elevator pitch. The only suggestion I have is to possibly film your pitch horizontally because the vertical video with a black border is a bit distracting.

    Hi Isabella!
    Watching this elevator pitch compared to the first one, I thought you did a much better job speaking your point across. Since you slowed down a little bit, and talked a little slower, it was much easier for me to recollect all the points you talked about. Also, because of this, you seemed more confident with your topic and the words you spoke were more clear compared to the last. If I had to give any constructive feedback at all, I'd just tell you to lengthen your speech a tad bit longer by adding another aspect of your business idea.

I interviewed 5 more of my friends all of whom do not own any pets. However, they do love animals even though they do not regularly interact with any. Who: There are many people who do not own pets and still enjoy their company but would not take action towards helping them. What: This need could differ from the need of wanting to get justice over a personal experience in which your own pet or an animal you grew fond of had been abused. 30A - Final Reflection

1) This class overall has been an amazing experience and completely surpassed any expectations I had originally. The fun moments in this class were whenever I was able to create something myself such as the customer avatar. I dreaded the cupcakes since it was always only a few questions which could be on anything as well the elevator pitches since I don't like public speaking or recording myself on camera. 2) The experience that I'll definitely remember years later is creating my business idea for the opportunity that I identified. I never considered being an entrepreneur and didn't think I had the makings to become one either. But, with the design of this course and its assignments, I was able to learn a lot about myself and what I am capable of.
