11A - Idea Napkin No. 1

1) Who am I? My name is Isabella Pellon and I going to be entering my senior year at the University of Florida this fall. I am majoring in Business Administration in the General Studies path and also pursuing a minor in Mass Communications. I was born in Miami, Florida but my family is all from Cuba. I would like to say that I'm talented at creating things such as PowerPoints. I really enjoy making sure everything is placed in the most visually appealing position and adding effects are also very fun. My skills include organization, dependability, creativity, and adaptability. My aspirations in life are to travel around the world and to find a career that will make me happy and give me the lifestyle I desire. I believe that the business I created, Paws of Love, would bring me a lot of happiness and peace knowing that I am able to help animals, whom I've always loved from a very young age, become safer.
2) What am I offering to customers? My service will help all animals that are in need whether it be from an abusive and/or neglectful situation, from being hurt, or for finding a new home.
3) Who am I offering it to? This service is open to any individual, no matter their demographic, who shares a common love for animals and wishes to help them in order to make their world a better and safer place.
4) Why do they care? I believe that customers will help contribute towards my business because it is something that is much needed and will do a lot of good. This will also help many people feel that their pets are safer as well as wild animals that have every right to feel as safe as domesticated ones. Some people may not be able to get directly involved but may still want to help the cause. This could be accomplished by any kind of donations they wish to offer.
5) What are my core competencies? What sets me apart from everyone else is my passion and dedication. Whenever I come across something that I truly care about, I stand my ground and stick by it with all my heart. This cause is something I have always been very passionate about and I think that I have what it takes for something like this to happen. Change needs to happen and I believe that it can we just have to put in the work and be patient. As the Fairy Godmother said in Cinderella, "even miracles take a little time."
I believe that all of the elements of my business fit perfectly together. I have organized all my thoughts and put them together into what I think is a solid and great idea for a business that I know would have many supporters. I feel that evaluating everything now in this assignment has helped organize and strengthen my idea. For this reason, I can confidently say that I do not have any weak points in this plan so I would like to stick by it.

  2. Hey Isabella,

I really like the service you have envisioned and it sounds like taking care of animals has been near and dear to your heart for awhile. It's very unfortunate that a small subset of our population believes in abusing animals. However, with your service, hopefully the animals can be given the proper care and treatment they deserve. I think it would be beneficial to your service to maybe implement a "Rehabilitation and Release" sort of program into your foundation. This way you could help out injured and sick wild animals and release them back into the wild once they're healthier to maintain proper animal populations.

  3. Hi Isabella!

Your idea napkin is very well done. Since animal brutality is such a big problem that goes on, you'd definitely be able to find people to support you cause, as well as your business. I read the book "How to fail at almost everything and still win big", by Scott Adams, for my reading assignment and it talks about how passion drives everything you do in life. It's sad that there's people out there that abuse animals, but since you're passionate about this cause I already know you will do well in being successful towards finding a solution to this problem. Keep up the good work, I'm one of your supporters!
